PART 2
Drinking fountain on the county courthouse lawn, Halifax, North Carolina
I see a black child in front of a courthouse at a drinking fountain with a sign on a tree next to it saying, "Colored". The first thing i noticed was the sign on the tree. A colored boy, a lawn of a courthouse, and a little building nearby to the right of the fountain. I think this image was mad eto show the racism during the Great Depression. In the image, a young black boy is drinking out of water fountain that is specifically for blacks. I think this was made during the 1930's, when segregation was still legal.

In this picture it shows a negro man under a sign at what seems to be a train station. This sign depicts the racism at the time, around the Great Depression, stating "Colored Waiting Room". The man's attention seems to be focus on some flyers on the wall. Here's where I noticed the middle flyer that says "True Story, Hitler's Love Life Revealed". Unsure if this relates to the racism behind this picture. I noticed that the vehicle is filled with only colored people. You can spot a child and some women. The vehicle (unsure if it's a train or car) seems to say Carolina Coach Company, which upon further research was founded in 1925. This time is very close to the Great Depression, which started in 1930. I wonder why the photographer decided to take this photo at this exact time. It captures much racism perfectly.
